So happy to have gotten the oportunity to finally photograph this beautiful family!
Dad had bought a gift card YEARS ago and you know how it is… life gets busy…
Well here we are long time coming. This happens to be their 1st ever real family photo shoot for the sake of just doing it.
I can’t tell you how many people I run into who say the same thing…. “we need to get family photos taken!”
well its never too late I say and they will always be your babies!
What a fun place to walk around. Bringing back memories of living there in my 20′s with 3 girls in a tiny back house.
I always joke that I can parallel park anything from living there.
I love these boys and like I say, I am so blessed to have clients for life. Getting to know these kids for years and watching them grow
is so rewarding to me. Thankful daily for them and my wonderful job.
It felt so all American there this day. Shortly after 4th of July all the flags still up just gave it that summer feel even more.
I just love this family…. busy as they are they really love their kids and are great parents.
I hear that they want to have a huge family… good for me as I get to photograph them a few times a year YIPEE!!!
I know that mom always says that was a disaster before I leave and think her kids were crazy. I always assure her that kids are kids they all are the same
at that age and I know and remember feeling that same way. I have some of the most hilarious stories of my kids going crazy and being SO embarrassed!
Only if I could go back to that time…. ahhh I think I would have just stood back and laughed.
I truly LOVE this spot! Its just right for a family shoot!
I loved the ages of thew kids too… one set going off on their own and now they get to do it all over again…
I suppose we really are forever parents anyway, this family physically.
I loved the light this night and juts the softness of the images just makes me happy!
What a perfect day for a really great family! I love to see how the kids interact with each other and I love getting to see what one year’s difference makes with little ones
Seems like yesterday I was there at their home meeting them all for the 1st time. The light was perfect as well as we lucked out shooting before the heat wave!
Here is to the perfect set up… one of each! what a great gift for sure.
I sure miss this wonderful friend of mine living across the street from me. Years ago she moved closer to her daughter, since then not a day goes by where I don’t think of her and all the chats we had about gardening.
We have been to visit but as you know life gets busy. I send cards every year but, seeing her made me miss her evermore. How blessed are these grandkids having such a wonderful lady to look up to.
Her stories of her life growing up during WWII just captivate you.
I am so happy that I got to document you all together this year. Busy lives and some living far away… this was so great to get to do for you all.
So here is to Maria:)
Nothing better than photographing your friends. Especially when they are amazing photographers.
I know how much this means to them as we do this daily for others and just like the manicurist with bad nails we are often the last ones to get photo sessions of our own families done.
Especially this time of year we are CRAZY trying to get our clients images online so they can get their cards and order in for the holidays.
So I had to spot on this one and blog about her… how thankful I am to have people like Megan in my life.
So here we are with one of my fav peeps the Brandenburgers. Mom says we want to wear our boots for this shoot and show a lil country this time. So I think I nailed the spot for them for this!
This first photo just says to me …. I love you all, this is what we live and die for is this… Family. Nothing compares to family. Thinking about that song right now “dont blink” by Kenny Chesney just bring tears to my eyes.
Ella… you have grown to be a beautiful teenager. You have the best heart and you work so hard everyday in all you do.
Claire…. Claire Oh Claire… You are the funniest coolest girl I know. I have loved watching you grow. I just love your spunk… dont ever loose that.
MR WILL!!! How you can be so cool with 2 older sisters, and still have your own totally cool guy personality. I think you rock. I love when I see you at school and you hug me and say “hello Mrs Kim!”
Mom and dad… coolest parents I know. If the kids need reminding just have them call me sometime!
