It has been a long time coming for this beautiful family to have a photo session with me.

I have known them forever and it was such a pleasure to get to spend a little time with them. What sweet kids they are.

I hope that you all had fun down there on such a beautiful night we had! They actually had these beautiful paper lanterns to light and put in the sky…

but they were not cooperating for us that night. {still need to pop over to seal and try again!}

Loving this location these days as you can tell with the 2nd post same location.

With not a lot of greenery  around I have been out hunting for some. I love the rain and we sure need some {just not on the day I have a shoot booked!}

Could it just rain during the night? I love this family…. I have been loyally photographing them since sister was a newborn!

This was our first out door shoot and what a lovely night we got!

So here is to letting them run around!!!

May you never loose your sense of wonder… may you always be a child inside.

I have always said eyes are the windows to the soul…. something about the shots of kids just looking into the camera… no smiles. I love that.

Does this just say it all… “i love you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much daddy?” or what???

Life is just beautiful…Together for life. Family.

What a beautiful family I got to photograph a few weeks ago. It was fun as their kids are close to my kids ages…

so I knew we had a window  of  ” I am done mom!” This is why I don’t photograph my kids like some may think I do.

I know people think oh you must have a ton of shots of your kids…. well no. Just like most kids this is not their favorite thing to do.

They hate it when I say “hey lets go down to the beach” and they see me with my camera they freak.

{Emily not so much now, you know girls like it as they get older}

SO you have to make it fun and fast.

This is what I do. Get in, laugh, have fun, get the shots, and get out.

Quick and easy for the family and the kids remember me, so the next time its not a chore :)

I love getting the natural elements of a family. I think my most favorite shots are always the giggling and the serious faces.

So here is to fun… giggling and beautiful faces.

Thank you for having me over to hang out a bit with you all :)

time flies… {orange county family photographer}

Hard to believe sometimes that it was 8 years ago our kids were kindergartners.

Now with both of us at our last year as elementary school moms… well I could say it is a bit bitter sweet.

Seems like it was yesterday.

Where does it go and why so fast? I honestly don’t remember as a kid time flying by like this.

This has been a long time coming for this family to have a session done. We picked this place as it was a special place where mom grew up.

Besides not wanting to be there (usual with boys) you can tell how much they love their momma.

mom and her boy {orange county photographer}

Long ago when this boy was a baby I got to photograph him. He has grown a lot since t last time I saw him. He is SO handsome… obviously gets his looks from his mom!

we went to a lake near their home that is really sentimental to them and had to add in the new puppy they have gotten.

It was hilarious trying to keep lil puppy in the carrier when it was not her turn to be in the photos. She would paw her self to roll over to us. Talk about loving your owners.

I love all my families big or small they all make me smile when I am editing them… sometimes I catch myself with a big grin in the morning as I am staring at the computer.

I think no one is here with me just my clients I am looking at and me grinning away at my computer.  (hehe)

This family has a super special place in my heart. I have been photographing them for ever.

I can’t tell you how many AMAZING families that have grown on me thru the years.

I get so sentimental sometimes when I look back at far I have come, thru this great talent God has given me.

I am forever thankful to ALL my loyal clients… with out you I would not be where I am today.

When I booked this shoot it was for a newborn baby girl and her family… and that is just what it was… however Mr. personality was just as much a star of the show this day as baby sister. Talk about personality! While mom was feeding baby we must have chatted about everyhting.

And SMART… that he is :) What a great shoot it was and yes of course we got lots of new baby sister… She is going to be crazy in love with her big brother this I can totally see!  Now one of each one boy one girl. How great that is.

What a wonderful surprise it was to see this family again! I can remember when big brother was just a lil guy and their shoot at the beach was one of my all time favs!

So sweet to see brother and sister so loving to one another! ( could you come over and rub some of that off on my kids?)

Beautiful night, beautiful lighting that afternoon too! I love this time of year seems the sun is just a little bit more golden too.

Here is to family love… family bonding and just being together!

beautiful girls {orange county photographer}

I was so happy to finally get to photograph this family in whole… including the dog even!

These girls are so easy to photograph. So beautiful and oh…. those perfect smiles.

I know that mom has been wanting to do a shoot with me for awhile now and I am so pleased with it

as well as how amazing it looks in the park we used.

Now with all this rain we had the last few days it should perk up and get a bit greener as well as a few more flowers to pop up!

I hope you enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed seeing you all together and how happy you all are as a family.
